What Faults Were On This Trentham Solar Array?
In this paragraph, we will highlight why when we are contracted to complete a clean on a solar array, we provide a full report on the visual health of the system. This Trentham solar array was suffering from a few issues. Firstly, algae growth along the bottom edge of the solar panels causes output to drop and increases the risk of lichen growth. Second;y, there was a number of broken solar panels across the array. Thirdly, DC cables were lying on top of the panels. Finally, we found were end clamps that had come away from the edge of the solar panels, causing them to be less secure. All of these issues needed resolving.
What Was Done To Rectify The Faults?
Clean Solar Solutions re-fitted the DC cable back under the solar panels. This was more cost-effective than the O&M provider sending out their own engineer to carry out the work.
